"Our call letters say it all: "WE VoLunteer." With only three paid staff positions, WEVL reflects the collective effort of numerous volunteers, both on and off the air.

WEVL currently broadcasts daily starting at 6am. With over 60 different programs airing each week, FM 89.9 offers a wide variety of music and information presented by programmers who independently prepare their own shows and who know their areas of interest well. Blues, rock, Memphis music, world music, bluegrass and country are just some of the many musical genres we cover.

Not owned or operated by any government agency, university, school system, or commercial entity, WEVL's funding comes primarily from our listeners, who attend our concerts and benefits, and become members with any donation of $40 or more. The majority of our operating revenue is raised during our biannual pledge drives."
